Originally developed in Madrid, The J&J LAB is a Jack & Jill training concept is designed to help dancers develop the key skills needed for improvisation and Jack & Jill / social competition dancing: musicality, connection, adaptability and improvisation. The goal is to create a space where dancers can actively train improvisation and learn to adapt to different partners in real time. In collaboration with Bachata House, The J&J LAB will be introduced in Denmark through a series of one-hour training sessions focused on these Jack & Jill skills. Focus is on strengthening leading and following technique by introducing more combinations and concepts from modern and sensual bachata. By the end of the course, you will feel more comfortable in your dancing. We recommend taking this level once. If you don’t feel comfortable at the end of the course, you are always welcome to repeat it.

Out of stockThis course is for the high intermediate dancer who is comfortable with the essential techniques and elements from sensual bachata (front waves, side waves, head rolls, hip rolls etc). In the course, we focus on useable and fun combinations and techniques, musicality, styling and much more. The course is based on Sensual Bachata, and the is on building on and combining what you have learned in Intermediate 1 to make your dance more fluid and dynamic. By the end of the course, you will feel more confident, smooth and creative in your social dancing.

We recommend that you are comfortable with the essential sensual bachata techniques (front waves, side waves, head rolls, hip rolls etc) before taking this course, as the course will build on and play with these techniques. During this course, you will learn fun new combinations to spice up your bachata dancing! The focus will be on creative dancing in partnerwork as well as how to apply your own style when dancing bachata.

Being a comfortable and creative solo dancer is the foundation for being a good dancer in partnerwork! During this bootcamp, Jesus & Erik will combine forces to teach you how you can use your feet and body, both in solo and in partnerwork. If you’re looking to develop your dancing, expand your musicality, and bring more flavor to your social dancing, this class is for you! Throughout the course, we will focus on:
- Learning essential Dominican footwork and partner patterns
- Understanding musicality and how to use this in Dominican as well as modern music
- Expanding your knowledge of bachata and its history and roots, including merengue, bolero & son
